ATAR Score Guide
Direct entry to our undergraduate programs is determined by the Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) which is listed in our Online Course Database. The information on this page will help you to calculate your ATAR equivalency score.
Which degrees could you study at Macquarie University?
When you expand the title of the qualification or country, eg "European Baccalaureate" or "Thailand", you can view the ATAR that is equivalent to your score.
If you select a particular ATAR, you will be taken to a page that lists all of the undergraduate courses at Macquarie University requiring this ATAR or lower.
Other accepted qualifications
Other high school qualifications are also accepted for direct entry. For the full list of accepted direct entry high school qualifications, visit our Academic Requirements page.
For all other countries (for example, Bangladesh, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, Peru, Russia, South Korea, Taiwan, Turkey and Vietnam) entry to Macquarie University will be considered if you have:

Macquarie University offers a foundation pathway through our partner Sydney Institute of Business and Technology (SIBT).Additional entry requirements
Please note that in addition to the ATAR (or equivalent) some programs require you to have a certain level of prior knowledge in particular subject areas, in order to be considered for entry. These requirements are listed in our Online Course Database.
