Credit for Previous Study

Credit for Previous Studies (CPS) is credit given in the form of Macquarie University points for recognised tertiary-level studies undertaken at another institution.
When granted, CPS will count towards credit point requirements for a Macquarie University Bachelor Degree.
CPS counts towards the 100 level (1st year studies) and 200 level (2nd year studies) requirements. All 300 level (3rd year) studies must be studied at Macquarie University and will not be given CPS status.
Macquarie University has granted CPS for selected institutions in various countries. Please use this calculator to see if you qualify for CPS.
If you have studied in a country other than those listed below, and you are interested in enquiring about CPS, please read the general CPS information. You may be eligible for assessment of CPS, however, you will only be considered for CPS if your qualification attained was at Diploma (or Diploma equivalent) level or higher. Your level of qualification will be determined when the assessment of your application is completed
If you believe that a particular unit (or subject) you are embarking on at Macquarie is very similar to one you have already completed in your institution, you can apply for CPS and Exemptions.
An Exemption is determined on the overlap of contents of the subject, and only applies to students who have been granted CPS. To apply for exemptions, you MUST supply all relevant original or certified copied documents (officially certified translations must accompany non-English documents) supporting your case AFTER you have been offered and accepted a place at Macquarie University.
