Tuition Fees for International Students
The tuition fees for international students at Macquarie University are set on a per credit point basis, and are revised each year. This means that there is a fee for each credit point in which you are enrolled. To help you calculate your fees, Macquarie University provides you with an estimated annual fee for your course, based on you enrolling in all the required units for that course in your first year. This estimated annual fee is published both in Macquarie's brochures (for undergraduate students and for postgraduate students) and also in our online course database.
You can look up the course in which you are interested to find the estimated annual fee for that course. It is important to remember that you will need to pay the tuition fee that is current at the time of your enrolment, not at the time of your application.
Annual fee increases
The University reviews the per credit point fees each year and may increase them in the following year. Information on the applicable per credit point fees and estimated yearly fees payable is available before enrolment. Students are subject to other fees, charges and conditions for each semester in which they enrol and are advised to check the current fees, charges and conditions with the University before enrolling at any time.
2011 Tuition fees for continuing students
As per the conditions outlined in a Macquarie offer letter, tuition fees are determined by the University each year. The tuition fees are set by the University Executive annually after a broad consultation process. They are set at a rate that allows the University to provide the best quality services and facilities to our students. The tuition fees for students continuing their studies in 2011 (continuing students) will increase by 10% for the 2011 academic year.
Students completing a Diploma at SIBT who will be articulating into the second year of a Macquarie bachelor degree in 2011 will be classified as continuing students.
Tuition fees for new international students commencing their programs in 2011 will vary by program. If you have any questions about your tuition fees for 2011, please contact International Student Services via iss@mq.edu.au
