Education - Distance Programs

The School of Education has an international reputation for the quality of its programs, its research, scholarship and service to the educational community.

The Department currently offers following programs via distance mode:
• Master of Education
• Master of Higher Education Postgraduate Certificate of Higher Education Postgraduate Diploma of Higher Education
• Master of Educational Leadership  Postgraduate Diploma of Educational Leadership
• Master of Arts (specialising in Education Studies)

Program Descriptions

The Educational Leadership programs enhance knowledge of theory and research in educational leadership and management and explore implications for practice in school education.

The Education and Education Studies programs are designed to enhance the knowledge, skills and professional development of educators and others with an interest in studies in education.

The Higher Education programs are for those wishing to study higher education and higher education development. Areas of specialisation include higher education learning and teaching, e-learning, leadership and management and medical education.

Resources and Support for Distance Students

There is a high level of support for distance students. Academic staff are available by email, fax, and telephone.

The Department’s Student Services staff are devoted to dealing with administrative and practical need of distance students, and students have access to a wide range of resources.

Graduating students are welcome to attend their graduation ceremony in Sydney. For students who cannot attend, degrees are conferred at the ceremony in absentia. Degrees and transcripts are sent to students by registered mail.
