Safety at Macquarie and in Sydney

Student and Security Guard

Macquarie University is a safe and welcoming place to study, and student safety and wellbeing is one of our top priorities. We provide advice on personal safety (PDF - 66KB ) and security both before you arrive here and during your studies. The information on this page can help you during an emergency and everyday life.

As part of your orientation you will receive information on how to ensure your personal safety, as well as details on our 24-hour security service and a 24-hour emergency and enquiry contact which is available for all international students.
