The goal of the Career Development Centre is to assist students in developing their careers. Regular workshops provide career education and generic skills development and employment opportunities including resume writing and interviewing skills. The Career Development Centre also co-ordinates part-time and casual work for students, and arranges for employers to meet with and recruit students.
The Career Development Centre is located on Level 2 of the Lincoln Student Services Building.

Macquarie encourages students with disabilities to join its Innovative University. A range of services is available at Macquarie Uniersity to assist students with disabilities. Prospective students with disabilties/health conditions are advised to contact a Disability Advisor at the ESU to discuss their study support needs. For a full list of services available click here to go to the Equity Support Unit (ESU)
The Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) will examine disabilities and/or medical conditions when student visa applications are processed. Student visa applications require information on pre-existing disabilties/medical conditions.
Visa conditions also require international students to have Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC). The standard OSHC does not include treatment for pre-existing disability/medical conditions during the first 12 months of membership.
Students with disabilites who are granted student visas may therefore need to obtain additional health insurance, or have available extra funds to cover medical requirements.
Macquarie University does not tolerate discrimination or harassment of students, by any other student, employee, or by academic or general staff. The University has put in place clearly defined grievance procedures to deal with discrimination and harassment. This approach ensures all complaints are dealt with effectively and efficiently.
Student Contact Officers (SCO) have been appointed to help students through grievance procedures.
If at any time you feel that you are the victim of discrimination or harassment, a SCO is readily available to listen to your story and help you to decide how to deal with the situation.
If a complaint is not resolved to a satisfactory level, students are encouraged to seek assistance from an International Student Adviser at the Macquarie International Office or the Dean of Students.

Alternatively, email can be forwarded to another account but each student is responsible for the information sent to a non-Macquarie account and for managing mailbox size to ensure that account remains active.
