Case Studies

A student fell down a set of stairs. The student was taken to a public hospital. The hospital requested their OSHC membership. The student did not have one. The student was liable for the $5,000 medical cost charged by the hospital.

If the student had kept their cover valid there would have been no charge to the student.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. What happens if I do not renew my policy?
It is a condition of your student visa to maintain your OSHC. If your cover expires and you do not renew, your details can be sent to DIMIA, and your student visa may be cancelled. Worldcare offers long-term cover with discounts to avoid your cover expiring. This can be a saving of approximately $100 for a 3 year cover.

  2. Can you supply a comprehensive schedule of premium costs?
This is readily available in our brochures and on our website – http://www.oshcworldcare.com.au/
