Obtaining an Extension for Leave of Absence
- You must have a current Worldcare OSHC policy
- You must be leaving Australia for a period of two (1) month (30 days) or greater
- Application for extension must be completed within one (1) month (30 days) upon return to Australia
What You Need To Do Within One (1) Month Of Return To Australia
- Take you passport to your Worldcare on-site representative or international student advisor service.
- The representative or advisor will confirm your departure and arrival dates from your passport.
- The representative or advisor will confirm your eligibility for OSHC extension.
- The confirmed information will be directly submitted to Worldcare administration
- Your policy will be extended for the period that you were absent.

Student currently holds a 2 year policy and leaves Australia for a period of two (2) months during the policy period. Current expiry date is Nov 2010.
Once the student has confirmation of eligibility, the cover is extended to Jan 2011. If the student departs permanently in Nov 2010, two (2) month will be equivalent cover will be returned to the student upon application. -
Student currently holds a 12 month policy and leaves Australia for a period of three (3) months. Current expiry date is Feb 2010.
Once the student has confirmation of the eligibility, the cover is extended to May 2010. The student is required to renew their cover as at May 2010.
