Orientation and Enrolment - Semester 1 2010

Congratulations on your decision to study at Macquarie University!

Making the decision to travel to the other side of the world to study takes a lot of courage and commitment. Ahead of you are opportunities, experiences and challenges that may change the way you see the world and your place in it.

 

Step 1 - Orientation

In this session you will meet the International Student Services (ISS) team. ISS will provide information relating to your student visa, tips to help you adjust to life in Australia and information relating to various services on campus. Attendance is compulsory. You only need to attend the one orientation session which is relevant to your program of study.

Step 2 - Enrolment

Attend compulsory Enrolment Preparation Sessions. Bring your Letter of Offer, Passport and CoE (Confirmation of Enrolment) with you.

Undergraduate Enrolment

All undergraduates must attend a group Enrolment Preparation Session led by an Academic Adviser, which will assist you in further planning your enrolment and answer any queries you may have. 

All undergraduates who are enrolling in the Bachelor of Chiropractic Science can enrol online.

Step 3 - Academic Orientation Transition Program

The Transition Program is for all students who are commencing study at Macquarie University. It focuses on skills to help you academically in your first weeks and gives you the chance to meet other new students studying in your area. It is different from Macquarie International's orientation session and you should attend both to get the best start to your academic life.

Step 4 - Orientation Activities and Special Interest Sessions

Orientation Activities gives you the opportunity to get to meet other new students. Activities include an orientation camp, orientation party, social club and Sydney day trips. Special Interest Sessions are aimed at raising awareness of the many issues that will affect the quality of your studies and life in Australia.
