Postgraduate Research

In Australia, students enrolled in these degrees are often referred to as Higher Degree Research (or HDR) candidates. Macquarie University offers HDR degrees in Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in a wide range of research areas. Applicants ineligible for direct entry should consider completing one of the available Postgraduate Certificate, Diploma or other Pathway Programs.

Macquarie’s international reputation rests on distinct research areas of the highest quality.
