The Macquarie University Observatory was originally
constructed as a research facility but, since 1997, has also been
accessible to the public through its Public Observing Program.
The observatory is open to the public every Friday night of the
year, except Good Friday and Boxing Day.
Macquarie Shopping Centre
Located in the inner north west of Sydney at North
Ryde, the centre is home to restaurants and many shops including Myer,
Big W, Target, Woolworths, Franklins and the unique Macquarie Ice
Rink.
Macquarie Research Park
Macquarie Research Park is an on-campus technology

Macquarie International
Macquarie International is the first sight
of information to assist all the international students. We provide
advice and information on matters ranging from immigration procedures,
administrative and fee advice, to welfare and social activities.
NCELTR
The National Centre for English Language Teaching
and Research at Macquarie University – NCELTR – offers
a wide range of English language and university preparation programs
for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
NCELTR’s library is the largest interactive learning facility
in the Southern Hemisphere.
Science Square
This square is the intersection of our science
divisions. Different faculties such as Biology, Computing and Electronics
are located in this area.
Library
The Library provides a range of services to students
and staff of the University. Members of the general community are
also eligible to use many Library resources and services within the
building. The Library provides the following services: borrowing material,
photocopying, computer systems and IT Support.
Students at Macquarie Union
SAM is the student-led organization at Macquarie
University, which exists to bring together the university community
and meet the social and cultural needs of the campus.

Macquarie University Sports Association
The Sport & Leisure Centre has extensive pin
loaded weight training equipment, dedicated free weights for your
muscle building and toning needs. The Centre also has tennis, squash,
badminton and real tennis courts among others for our students.
Located on Culloden Road the Macquarie Driving
Range is one of the finest driving ranges in NSW.
A fully stocked pro-shop will fulfill your equipment requirements
with the latest gear to improve your game.
Dunmore Lang College
Dunmore Lang College is a co-educational college
with fully furnished study bedrooms on single sex and mixed corridors.
The 240 residents have the opportunity to mix with both undergraduate
and postgraduate students of different nationalities and cultures.
20 meals per week are provided. Fees are payable by the academic
term (four payments per year).
Balaclava Apartments
Balaclava Apartments are located adjacent to Macquarie
University, an easy five minute stroll from campus. The apartments
are part of a large residential complex which accommodates members
of the local community as well as students.
Macquarie University Village
Macquarie University Village is a housing complex
located on campus, just five minutes walk from the centre of the University.
All townhouses have five single bedrooms, each bedroom having its
own ensuite bathroom and individual telephone line.

Biological Sciences Museum
The Biological Sciences Museum is an important
academic teaching and research resource for the School of Biological
Sciences. It also serves as a recognised artistic and cultural centre
for the University and the local community.
Museum of Ancient Cultures
One of the best presented university museums in
Australia. Visitors will find a great collection of objects from the
ancient Mediterranean world (Egypt, Greece, Rome and many others).
Parklands Apartments
Macquarie Parklands is situated adjacent to the campus, and
provides fully furnished apartments, each accommodating up to
four students (2 single bedrooms and 1 twin bedroom).
A Residential Director oversees Macquarie Parklands throughout
each semester. The Complex is situated within walking distance
of the Macquarie Centre Shopping Mall, and has easy access to transport.
Herring Road Apartments
Herring Road Apartments are situated on-campus. There are
twenty self-catering, fully furnished, single bedroom apartments.
All apartments have either three, four or six bedrooms.
