GLP Staff

Ms Bec Forrester
Global Leadership Program Advisor
BA Psychology

Bec is the contact for postgraduate GLP students; organises the industry seminars and project teams; and contributes to the overall running of the program.

Bec holds a BA Psychology from Macquarie, where she also undertook German language studies. She has been a conservation volunteer in Costa Rica; is skilled in administering the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) measurement to students; and has traveled extensively to Europe, where her family resides.
Ms Anneke Rowe
Global Leadership Program Officer
B International Studies

Anneke is the contact for undergraduate GLP students, organises the colloquium series and experiential credit claims; and contributes to the overall running of the program.

Anneke studied international studies and has undertaken both a high school and university exchange to France and a short exchange in Mexico. She has been part of the Australian Youth Development Program; has volunteered at a Women's Refuge in Mexico; founded an Amnesty International chapter; and speaks both French and Spanish.
Mr Russ Alexander
Manager, Global Innovations
B Arts (Political Science & Industrial Relations)

Russ created the original idea of the Global Leadership Program in 2004; and consults to Macquarie on other innovations including short term programs and service learning.

Russ has been involved in the design of international education programs for over 17 years. He studied abroad twice in the USA and held a secondment to the Australian Embassy in Washington DC. His professional life has taken him to over 40 countries. His philosophy when it comes to program design is simply "it's ok to go outside the box."
