Macquarie Global Leadership Program (GLP) students travel to China for the Model United Nations

Harvard WorldMUN offers the most authentic Model United Nations experience possible.

This year it was held in Beijing, China at Peking University with over 1200 delegates from over 50 different countries attending from around the world.

The Macquarie University delegation was representing a small country in Africa – Equatorial Guinea.

Harvard WorldMUN 2006 was an amazing experience.

I learnt a lot about the structure of the United Nations, and gained a greater understanding of the cross cultural communication required to come to a resolution in my committee.

We met the most amazing people from around the world and Australia as well. The conference held several social events, including a Cabaret night where we all had to come up with an act that represented our culture. We also did tours throughout the conference of the Great Wall, the Forbidden City and the Summer Palace.

Harvard WorldMUN was an unforgettable experience. We learnt so much about other cultures, the difficulties of coming to a resolution in the United Nations, and all to the beautiful backdrop of Beijing.

I would definitely recommend others to attend this conference next year!
