Short Term Exchange Programs
If you can't spend a full semester on exchange, then an intensive international program could be an awesome way to spend your next uni holidays!
Short term programs are very popular with Macquarie students because they are compatible with almost every academic program. An intensive program might suit you because:
- They take place during the Macquarie semester breaks
- You can obtain credit for these units
- Even if you are studying in a restricted or highly structured degree, you may still be able to participate
Intensive programs broadly fall into two categories: programs administered by Macquarie International and programs operated by partner institutions in which Macquarie students can participate.
The majority of these programs run in the July holidays between semester one and two, as well as during the summer holidays.

I absolutely loved it! A short term program is a great idea, and was the perfect length for me, as I didn't like the idea of leaving work and uni behind for 6 months, but still wanted to get out there.
