Internship Projects

Your internship must relate to your study major and interests. You will not be placed in an internship field in which you have no study background.

Internship Disciplines

Internships are offered in the following disciplines:

  • Business - business administration, finance and accounting*, human resources, information technology, international trade.
  • Media and Communications - advertising, digital media, event management, journalism, marketing, online marketing, public relations.
  • Politics and International Relations
  • Not for profit organisations
  • Science - biology and psychology

* Internships in finance and accounting are in extremely high demand and short supply. Students seeking placements in these fields are strongly encouraged to source their own internship placement to increase their chances of participating in the internship program.

Internships are potentially available in all fields of study offered at Macquarie University.

Important Points

  • Internships are competitive, and placements are not guaranteed.
