How am I supported?
Staff at Internships@Macquarie interview and screen all potential interns to find the most suitable applicant(s) for your organisation. Once a student is placed, we remain in contact to monitor the student’s performance.
Can I have more than one intern?
If you have more than one set of projects/tasks available you are able to take on more interns.
Do I need to pay the interns?
Interns are not paid for their experience in your organisation as they are receiving academic credit.
When are the students available?
Students are available during the following periods:
Semester 1 March – June (excluding mid semester break 14 – 25 March 2008)
Semester 2 August – November (excluding mid semester break Sep 22 – Oct 3 2008)
The intern’s working schedule is organised around the host organisation’s needs and the student’s university timetable.
Are the Interns Insured?
Yes, interns are covered with private accident and third party liability insurance through Macquarie University.

All international students are also required to take out compulsory International Student Health Cover, which provides private cover equivalent to the Australian Medicare benefit.
