Application process
This page will provide you with useful information on how you can apply to study an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree at Macquarie University and the steps that you need to take.
Step 1: Research your course options

Step 2: Check the entry requirements
Each study program has specific entry requirements that you need to fulfil, in order to be considered for entry into the program.

Academic Requirements
Undergraduate applicants (applying for Bachelor degrees)
Check our Academic Requirements page to see if your current qualification is recognised for entry into our programs.
The ATAR Score Guide will help you convert your current qualification score into an Australian Tertiary Admissions Ranking (ATAR).Check the online course database to see what Course Entry Rank is required for each program. The course database will also outline any prerequisite subjects you will need to have studied.
If you do not meet the entry requirements for the course of your first preference, you will be considered for your second and third preferences. If you do not meet the entry requirements for any of your preferences, you may automatically be considered for a pathway program through Sydney Institute of Business and Technology (SIBT).Postgraduate applicants (applying for graduate Bachelor, Graduate Certificate and Diploma, and Master programs)
Check the online course database to see if you satisfy the academic requirements for your program, including: University qualifications or equivalent Prerequisite subjects and work experience.If you do not meet the entry requirements for the course of your first preference, you will be considered for your second and third preferences.

English Language Requirements
All international students at Macquarie are required to provide evidence of proficiency in English.

Credit For Previous Study
If you have studied at another tertiary academic institution, you may be eligible for credit towards your degree at Macquarie University.

Step 3: Submit your application
Apply early! Remember that places are limited in all programs, especially popular degrees. It is a good idea to apply at least two to three months before semester begins, in order to avoid disappointment, and to give you enough time to organise your student visa. Online application
After you have selected which course/s you want to apply for you can submit your application online through My Macquarie. You will be able to select your course and upload scanned copies of the required documents. Using My Macquarie you can save and update your application until you are ready to submit. There is no application fee if you submit your application online.

Download and post application
Download an application form, and complete it carefully, attaching all required documents. For your application to be processed without delay, it is very important that your form is complete.
PLEASE NOTE Students applying for a courses offered by the Sydney Institute of Business and Technology (SIBT), Master of Applied Finance program, or Macquarie Graduate School of Management (including MBA and Master of Management) need to complete a different application form.

Remember to attach all relevant documents, as instructed on the application form as evidence of your English Language proficiency, your academic qualifications and credit for previous studies (if applicable). All documents must be either originals or certified copies.You will also need to submit a non-refundable payment of AU$110 with your application, in order for it to be assessed. This application fee can be paid:

International applicants completing an Australian Year 12, New Zealand NCEA Level 3 or the International Baccalaureate (IB) qualificationIf you are an international applicant currently completing:

You must apply through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) - UAC International. UAC International booklets will be available from your school/college in August. -
