Off-Campus Apartments

The University holds leases in a number of apartments/townhouses in the suburbs surrounding campus (Marsfield and Epping). Most are within 10 to 30 minutes walk from campus, the remainder being a short bus ride away. The apartments are within residential complexes, which accommodate members of the local community as well as students. Students are therefore required to maintain reasonable noise levels, as expected in Australian residential areas. Each apartment accommodates up to four students in either single or twin/shared bedrooms.

All are outfitted with the following, which are included in the cost (please note that furnishings differ from place to place):

Bedrooms:

• Individual single beds
• All bedding
• Individual desks
• Wardrobe and/or hanging racks

Kitchen:

• Refrigerator
• Toaster
• Kettle
• Microwave oven
• Conventional oven and stove

Living/Dining:

• Sofa set
• Colour television and table
• Dining table and chairs

Laundry:

• Washing machine
• Clothes dryer
• Vacuum cleaner, broom, mop, etc
• Iron and ironing board

Utilities:

The following items are not included:

• Student living expenses
• Telephone connection, rental and calls
• Meals (the apartments are self-catering)
• Towels
• Clock Radios, hairdryers, stereos
