1. Academic Literacy Workshops
April/May 2009
Macquarie International will offer academic literacy workshops during April and May 2009, to help you improve your writing and presentation skills.
Study Strategies & Exam Preparation: In this session we will cover the basics of effective note-taking , mind mapping and mnemonics (memory techniques), in preparation for the upcoming exams.
Report Writing & Oral Presentations: The first half of this workshop will help you identify and replicate the writing style, structure and referencing techniques of academic reports. The second half will assist you plan and practise delivering university class presentations. Please note that you will be expected to take an active part in presentation activities.
